Madrid: A Lovely City with a Vibrant Nightlife
Packed with cultural attractions and gorgeous chicks, Madrid is definitely one of the coolest cities in Europe. Spain’s central capital is famous for its wide avenues, amazing parks, and spectacular museums. There is no shortage of sightseeing in Madrid. Attractions such as the Prado Museum, Royal Palace, and Puerta del Sol are definitely worth visiting.
What I personally like about Madrid is the fact that everyone seems cheerful and up for having a good time. The locals love going out in the evening and there are hundreds of amazing clubs and bars in the city.
Of course, at most of these places, you can meet many lovely Spanish girls and engage them in a conversation. Let’s take a look at some of the best places in Madrid where you can unwind with a drink or dance until the morning light.
Madrid’s Top Bars and Nightclubs
Kapital is one of the most popular clubs in the city and features seven floors of recreational space, dance floors, and bars. The main floor is reserved for those who want to dance to the DJ’s tunes and watch go- go dancers, while the second floor features a large karaoke room.
There are various other floors that host local and International DJ’s playing music. If you want to chill, head out to the top two levels. The drinks are a bit on the expensive side, but that’s kind of expected from one of the most visited nightclubs in Madrid.
Featuring a stylish décor with authentic marble floors and steel walls, Moma 56 is one of the trendiest nightclubs in the city. It attracts a lot of semi-celebrities and also works as a bar and a restaurant. If you are looking for glamor and don’t mind digging deep into your wallet, Moma 56 is definitely a place where you should spend an evening or two.
Keep in mind that the parties here start quite late and the club is usually packed on the weekends. A valet parking service is provided for visitors, so you won’t have to worry about finding a place to park.
Ocho y Medio
A popular cave bar that features performances from various DJ’s, Ocho y Medio is an alternative joint in Madrid. It has a giant dance floor and a small chill zone upstairs with a couple of couches to sit down and relax. Ocho y Medio attracts large crowds of visitors, mostly local hipsters and students.
It’s definitely a great place to meet some hot chicks, especially if you decide to come on Fridays and Saturdays. The music revolves around top eighties and nineties hits, but they also play electro pop and dubstep occasionally.
Girls in Madrid
Spanish girls are passionate about everything! I am not talking about being just passionate about guys, I mean most girls from Spain are deeply care about dancing, devotion, arguing, and about many other things. Doing things half-ass is definitely not a part of their culture and conservative is a word that you won’t find in a Spanish vocabulary.
I like that chicks in Madrid care a lot about how they look. Since the weather is sunny for most of the year, they usually wear short skirts and nice dresses. If she is going to see her friends in the city, she usually puts a bit of makeup.
Dating Chicks in Madrid
She is going to be late
Unfortunately, being late is one of the things you should get used to if you decide to date a Spanish chick. In case you agree to go on a date, be ready to wait at least 15 minutes. It’s not that she doesn’t respect you; it’s just a cultural difference.
Being Passionate means Being Loud!
Don’t be afraid if a Spanish girl you are dating seems to be loud when talking to her friends. It’s normal in Spain. To an outsider, it may seem that all of them are playing a game of who is going to interrupt who in a conversation, or who can be the loudest person in the room. I am sure you will get used to it, but at first, it will sound like they are constantly arguing about stuff and not just having a meaningless chat.
Spanish Girls know How to Dance
You may think you are a good dancer but once you find yourself on a dance floor in Madrid, you’ll probably consider taking a class or ten in dancing. People from Spain know how to dance and although this may sound crazy, it comes naturally to them.
I’ve never met a chick from Spain who didn’t know how or was feeling reluctant to dance. I guess with all that passion for everything in life, comes the love for dancing.
Football is Important
Football in Spain is very popular among both man and women. I know that this may sound as a big turn on for guys, but let’s just say that you better pray to God that she supports the same team as you do. Did I tell you that girls from Spain besides being passionate can also be very competitive?
Best Neighborhoods in Madrid
Located in the center of Madrid, Sol is home to two spacious square Puerta del Sol and Plaza Mayor. If you are looking for accommodation that is close to the most famous attractions in the city, Sol is definitely the best option. There are also many festivals in the neighborhood and numerous coffee shops where you can unwind with a drink or two.
Probably the most expensive neighborhood in the city, Salamanca is perfect for shopping with brand shops like Gucci, Chanel, Dior, and others. You will find plenty of upscale restaurants, bars, and hotels in this district, as well as the famous bullfighting ring, Las Ventas. What I like about Salamanca is that it is generally a quieter than some of the other districts such as Chueca and La Latina.
The official gay neighborhood in Madrid, Chueca is one of the liveliest districts in the city with plenty of nightclubs, trendy cocktail bars, and all kinds of shops. If you are looking to party all night long and don’t mind thousands of tourists doing the same, head out to Chueca and I guarantee you won’t be disappointed.
